FRANKLIN, Tenn. -- The Franklin Transit Authority will operate an Historic Heritage Trolley Route on Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
A special date- specific trolley pass will allow for multiple on and off same day boarding on the trolley, at a cost of $5.
The energy efficient Hybrid Electric Trolley will run a continual loop every hour. |

"The new Historic Heritage Trolley Route offers visitors an opportunity to explore Downtown Franklin, Carnton Plantation and the Carter House and it will be a fun service for local residents, too," states Nancy Williams, director of the Downtown Franklin Association. "Downtown Franklin and the historic sites have hoped for this route since the trolley's inception and it's great to see it starting in time for our busy tourist season."
Historic Heritage Trolley Route passes may be purchased at the Transit Center, 708 Columbia Ave., Monday – Friday.
